We created a new dedicated server but it seems the game settings difficulty levels in terms of zombie spawns is working differently from the non dedicated servers ? Has anyone experience to share on this ?

I have not gotten this bug, but I got something similar with my small animal traps. When i reloaded it"through the ground" it reappeared on the ground. Maybe you can reach the bird underground ?

I wonder why do you need so many leaves ?

Aside from the bushes the other solution is to build some bushtree plantation, it will give you leaves and tree branches, and some other things such as berries.
